PSL Construction
Up to £120k DOE
London, permanent role, part time 3 -4 days per p/w
Top Global law firm, recognised as a tier 1 in the legal rankings is looking for a highly astute Construction PSL or Associate to join their knowledge team in a PSL capacity. The construction team has extensive international work with large disputes for EPC contractors on international projects, work closely with their teams in Middle East, Hong Kong, and Australia.
The Construction group is looking for a dynamic individual to drive marketing initiatives as well as support the team, by staying abreast of legal and industry developments, collaborating with the legal team to publish informative articles and bulletins, and assisting in conducting seminars and training sessions to their valued clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor legal and industry developments, including new cases and contract forms, to develop marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with practicing lawyers to create compelling articles and bulletins that increase brand awareness.
- Assist in organising and facilitating seminars and training sessions for clients, including conducting research and preparing presentation materials.
- Provide momentum and drive for marketing initiatives within the group to overcome existing obstacles and ensure progress.
- As a Construction PSL, you will also play a vital role in expanding and promoting the Knowledge Management function within the practice and the broader firm, fostering an environment where knowledge sharing thrives.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated track record of high-quality fee earning experience in construction law (minimum 7 years' PQE), ideally within a global law firm or in-house.
- Previous experience as a Professional Support Lawyer or active involvement in Knowledge Management initiatives ideal OR
- A Construction Associate from a global firm with a passion however an Associate who is looking to move into a PSL role.
- Exceptional drafting skills for producing informative materials.
- Strong presentation skills for effectively communicating with clients and colleagues.
- Interest in business development, marketing, and professional training.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to motivate and influence others towards achieving goals.
- Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in main IT packages, including familiarity with intranets and the internet, and a process-driven approach to matter management.
- Strong commitment to promoting the benefits of knowledge sharing within the organisation.
