Industrial Disease Solicitor/Legal Exec (NQ - 3yrs PQE)
£50 - £65k DOE, hybrid + benefits

A phenomenal opportunity to join a top-tier, Chambers-ranked law firm as an Industrial Disease solicitor working with a team of experienced professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for a NQ to start their career or for a Solicitor/Legal Exec with 1-3 yrs PQE looking to expand their knowledge and experience in a highly reputed firm and dedicated team.
The role:
The Industrial Disease team specialise solely in assisting sufferers of asbestos-related diseases, including mesothelioma, lung cancer, asbestosis and diffuse pleural thickening, and their families. Duties will include:
- Manage a caseload of files, under supervision, dealing effectively with cases and transactions.
- Deal directly with clients to take instructions and ensure full understanding in order to deliver on client expectations.
- Work closely with partners and senior lawyers to develop client relationship skills.
- Actively develop relationships with smaller clients.
- Effectively scope and price work, under supervision
- Take responsibility for aspects of business development projects in the department.
- Research and draft articles and assist with the production of marketing materials.
- Begin to develop a network of clients, contacts, and potential referrers; attend relevant networking events.
- Manage time recording, WIP monitoring and billing consistently on own and others’ files and matters.
Requirements:
- Solicitor or Chartered Legal Exec
NQ to 3 yrs PQE within claimant Industrial disease matters (specifically asbestos related). Previous experience in claimant personal injury matters Professional individual with the empathy required to work with vulnerable people.
- Ability to manage own files efficiently.
- High commitment to customer service
