Legal Administrator - £20,000 - Uxbridge

Our client is a dynamic and forward-thinking, leading law firm who operate from 2 offices in West London and Buckinghamshire. With 220 employees, they are a firm that enjoys a reputation for representing significant clients in complex legal matters who are ranked highly by independent legal guides Chambers & Partners and Legal 500. Their main four practice areas are; Real Estate, Commercial, Private Client and Community Legal Services.

The role

Working within their New Homes Team, they have an opening for a Legal Administrator to work with the Partner, Solicitors, conveyancers and other legal administrators undertaking a number of key routine and non-routine tasks.

Key responsibilities:

  • Progressing open market plot sales from issue of contract pack to post completion
  • Responding to routine enquiries raised by buyers, solicitors and clients
  • Progressing sale to exchange and completion matters including liaison with solicitors, advising clients
  • Preparing completion statements and bills
  • Filing which will include daily filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files in accordance with detailed procedures
  • Preparing mail and closures for dispatch
  • Ensuring the confidentiality of all the firm’s and client’s documentation and information

What they are looking for

  • Educated to A level standard or equivalent
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit the audience
  • Previous experience of working in a law firm would be a distinct advantage, but this is not essential as training will be provided
  • Knowledge and understanding of plot sales, regulation and procedure (not essential)
  • Strong proof-reading skills
  • Good administration skills
