Part-time Credit Control and Enforcement Officer, £33-35K pro-rata, Whitechapel, London

Our client, who has been recognised for their innovative use of IT, is an established leader in the industry and is renowned for their excellent culture, is looking for a Credit Control and Enforcement Officer on a part-time basis for 3 days a week. You must have a good understanding of legal accounting.

The role

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will proactively assist them in all aspects of the firm’s credit control requirements and to respond to firm’s staff in connection with individual queries and requests.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • To chase clients for payment using specified procedures and letter templates
  • To maintain records of all actions and correspondence in Case Manager files and set reminders in Outlook Calendar to chase clients on due dates
  • To keep a record of all outstanding bills and actions taken to obtain settlement on the spreadsheet
  • To evaluate debtor circumstances to enable a balanced decision to be made on how to proceed with enforcement against costs potentially incurred by TV Edwards
  • To apply for judgement when a client fails to respond to a County Court Judgement claim
  • To process money claims online (MCOL) applications to acquire County Court Judgements against debtors

What they are looking for

  • Experienced Credit Control officer with legal accounting and debt collection experience of both client and office accounts
  • Excellent numerical skills
  • Demonstrable experience of working within a busy finance team
  • Ability to read a client ledger financial transaction report
  • Educated to minimum A level standard
  • Experienced in MCOL, CCJ and enforcement requirements
  • Strong organisational and administrative qualities together with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Tikit P4W would be an advantage
