Town and Parish Council Legal Assistant, £18,000, Great Bookham, Surrey

The firm is now looking to recruit a Legal Assistant to work in their Town and Parish Council department in Great Bookham.
What is the role
This is an exciting role, in a very niche area of law with fantastic opportunities to expand. You will be providing direct support to a Fee Earner in the department who has a wealth of experience in Town and parish Council matters. This is a great opportunity if you are looking to start your career in the legal industry, or if you have a minimal amount of experience in a law firm, as you will have support from a number of highly experienced Fee Earners in the firm.
Main responsibilities for this role are:
- Assisting the Fee Earner with their workload, being given more responsibility with time
- File opening and closing
- Answering the phone to clients
- Some basic administrative work
- Providing additional support to the Town and Parish Council team
What you will need?
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal is desirable but not essential
- Accurate typing speed
- Excellent attention to detail
- Flexible and dependable
- Conscientious, approachable and enthusiastic
