Legal Cashier, North London, £38k+ Hybrid Working

Our client is looking to recruit a legal cashier/finance manager for this leading legal aid firm in the Legal 500.

Legal Cashier Role Responsibilities: -

 

• Managing the day to day running of the accounts function
• Dealing with month end duties
• Payroll
• Bank reconciliations
• Dealing with ledger queries
• Supporting the board and monthly reporting
• Adhering to Solicitors Accounts Rules
• General enquiries relating to accounts, liaising with accountants, assisting with preparation of month end and year end accounts
• Expenses and petty cash
• VAT uploads
• Preparing management reports

 

Legal Cashier Skills:

 

• Legal Aid and Private Client accounts experience
• Knowledge and experience of Certificated and Civil Contract bill posting
• Experience working in a legal firm as a legal cashier
• Knowledge and experience of Solicitors Accounts Rules
• Accountancy qualifications desirable
• Worked in a similar high volume, cashiering role
• Attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
