Employment Solicitor (NQ – 2 yrs. PQE)
£50k - £65k doe
hybrid + benefits / Oxford, Bath, or Swindon
A phenomenal opportunity to join a top-tier, Chambers-ranked law firm as an Employment Solicitor working with a team of experienced professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for a NQ to start their career or for a Solicitor with 1-3 yrs PQE looking to expand their knowledge and experience in a highly reputed firm and team.
The role:
Providing counsel to both employers and employees on various employment issues such as disciplinary actions, grievances, performance management, absences, contract drafting, settlement agreements, TUPE transfers, and legal proceedings, duties include as follows.
- Manage a caseload of files, under supervision, dealing effectively with cases and transactions.
- Deal directly with clients to take instructions and ensure full understanding in order to deliver on client expectations.
- Work closely with partners and senior lawyers to develop client relationship skills.
- Actively develop relationships with smaller clients.
- Effectively scope and price work, under supervision
- Raise personal profile and attract delegated work; take responsibility for aspects of BD projects within the department.
- Take responsibility for aspects of business development projects in the department.
- Research and draft article and assist with the production of marketing materials.
- Begin to develop a network of clients, contacts, and potential referrers; attend relevant networking events.
- Manage time recording, WIP monitoring and billing consistently on own and others’ files and matters.
Requirements:
- NQ to 2 yrs PQE in Employment Law
- Ability to manage own files efficiently.
- High commitment to customer service
- Enjoy relationship building.
